His career of scare antics has spanned five decades; that’s a lot of boa constrictors, fake blood and guillotines! One would have wild ideas about the kind of conversation that would transpire with such an individual. But what if there were no cameras or screaming fans around? Not many people can say they have been with the same company for 35 years, but Eric Mueller, Warehouse Manager at Grosh Backdrops and Drapery can! Eric has been with Grosh Scenic Rentals since 1979. After college, Eric ventured into the Hollywood area in search of work. At the tender age of 19 he began his career at Grosh. In his time he has met celebrities, worked with myriad artist from big production companies (Warner Brother and Paramount, to name a few) and watched old Hollywood turn into what it is today. HA USE for sure

Grosh is 80 Years Old!

What makes Grosh special? We believe our unique history plays a part.

In 1932, Robert Louis Grosh founded R.L. Grosh and Sons Scenic Studios in Hollywood California.


Years before, Robert Grosh had an interest in the Theater and began his career cleaning paint brushes and buckets for Armbruster Studios in Columbus Ohio.  Beginning in his teens, he learned the trade, became a painter, and advanced to journeyman scenic artist.

One of the main reasons why I have been at Grosh for 18 years is that I love being a part of one the most unique, family owned scenic studios in Hollywood, California.
